Getting to know the neighbours

Heather WillsHeather

Barber Heather Wills reckons her house is a cut above others she viewed elsewhere. Moving from Aberdeen to work at the MetroCentre, she said: “It’s such good value and you can just tell, when you look around, what a lovely development this is going to be.

“The views are absolutely stunning and the homes are very well planned and laid out.”

Hannah Edmondson and Joe Haley HannahandJoe

Joe Haley and his partner Hannah Edmondson could not have engineered a move any better than their first home at The Rise. The innovative house style, views across the Tyne Valley to the Angel of the North and the affordable price made it the perfect choice for the first time buyers - who both work as engineers.

“We were renting in Gateshead and came to see the development speculatively,” said Joe: “We liked it straight away and when we saw the show homes, we knew it was the place for us.”

Hannah added: “We absolutely love it. The style is great; the layout fantastic and the master bedroom on the top floor really has the wow factor.”

Joey Dunn Joey

Excited about moving to her new home is Barratt Homes quantity surveyor Joey Dunn. She said: “I was attracted to The Rise because it is so close to the city centre and visiting the development for the first time really cemented my decision to buy my first home here.

“It is beautifully designed, offering fantastic views across the river Tyne and the house type I have chosen definitely has the wow factor. I am very much looking forward to enjoying one or two cocktails on my roof terrace.”
