On the up – more new homes now available at The Rise

A second release of homes is now available to buy on a popular development that is gaining both local and national recognition.

The first release of properties at The Rise in Scotswood, sold rapidly and this new selection of 26 homes has been met with even greater enthusiasm – and nearly half have already sold in just one week.

The new homes made available at this stunning, contemporary development include two bedroomed apartments and two, three and four bedroomed homes. Innovatively designed to form an attractive streetscape, these larger than average properties boast wonderful views across the Tyne Valley and prices start from only £97,950 for an apartment up to £171,950 for a four bedroomed, family home.

The New Tyne West Development Company (NTWDC) – a public/private partnership comprising Newcastle City Council and developers Barratt Homes and Keepmoat – is behind The Rise. The £265 million initiative aims to deliver a sustainable community of around 6,000 people living in approximately 1,800 high quality homes.

Claire Scott, Communities and Marketing Manager with NTWDC, said: “Following the success of our first release of 107 homes, we are delighted to bring a further 26 to market. Our spacious, energy efficient properties have proved extremely popular with buyers who often cite build quality and value for money as key reasons behind their purchase.

“Just two and a half miles from the centre of Newcastle and with an Ofsted graded ‘Outstanding’ school on the doorstep, The Rise is playing an integral role in what is a new chapter for the area, where a strong community spirit is already thriving.”

Not only popular with house hunters, The Rise has been shortlisted for three prestigious honours just 18 months after construction began.

It is a finalist in two categories of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors North East Renaissance Awards and has been shortlisted for a Royal Town Planning Institute National Award.

There are six stunning homes to view at the show village - off Whitehouse Road, Newcastle, NE15 6EP which are open Thursday through Monday between 10am and 5.00pm. To find out more information call 0191 226 7495 or visit www.barratthomes.co.uk or www.keepmoat.com and search for The Rise.
